SCCYC Waterside Connect ‘Connecting Communities’

SCCYC’s education and training hub continues to provide skills training to improve personal and professional development towards confidence building, work experience, and employment skills.

Volunteering Scheme

We provide hands on practical skills development and free vocational skills training to all our volunteers to equip them in entailing their roles.

SCCYC ‘Connect-Create-Venture’ Programme

Soft and higher-level employment skills training is provided in ESOL, Microsoft Office and employment support including coaching, jobs search, CV and interview techniques.

Supplementary School

The Sunday school provides GCSE curriculum Punjabi language classes and extracurricular activities such as music, arts, heritage, events, citizenship.

Sikh Education Service

Over 2,000 children visit our Gurdwara and Museum to learn about Sikh core values, citizenship, and to support the Religious Education Curriculum.  We also train new police recruits, teachers, and carers to support Sikh clients in their job roles.

Punjabi Fusion Catering

There are hands on opportunities to be mentored and trained in cooking skills, customer service and hospitality in our new social enterprise.
